Your v17 is a perpetual licence so you shouldn't have to pay anything as long as you can work out your serial number and get a code for your file from MYOB. MYOB no longer sells perpetual programmes and you would have to pay at least 12 months subscription. The latest versions are slow, expensive and have a lot of on-going bugs so v17 is likely to be a better option for you.You said you have the software so I assume that means you can install the programme but you would have to start from scratch with the data file? If this is the case, then make sure you do regular removable backups from hereon and keep away from your office/home for just this scenario or similar.
