Jobs: Monthly budget entry
Hi MYOB Development Team, For future builds can you add Monthly Budgets for Jobs please. I love MYOB software however one frustrating point I find with MYOB, is that you cannot set monthly Job budgets. When running an organisation with multiple departments and Department Managers an Executive Officer needs to be able to see how each department is doing in comparisson to their budgets. MYOB will allow an annual budget to be set for Jobs which is great however, by setting budgets monthly you will be able to better meet your annual goals because you will better track your monthly figures. In doing so, you can make adjustments each following month to ensure you hit your annual goals. It would also be very handy, to be able to break this down to Actuals v Budgets on several scales, EG Weekly, Monthly, Bi Monthly, Quarterly, Bi Anually etc.... In previous versions of MYOB you were able to print the Job Profit & Loss report with the Budget Figures. However with Account Right 2013.3 this facility is no longer available. PLEASE re-consider the removal of this feature as it is a necessary part of using the Job function. It would be good to be able to enter a budget using different levels or add a budget amount to a header account. For example we have a budget for office expenses; it doesn't separate costs over all the expense codes is just a blanket amount. The option for both would be good. We have just installed Account right plus v2013.3 The Budget Analysis report will onlydisplay Account Codes that have BOTH a Budget and Expenditure recorded against the account. We have had expenditure recorded against a job using an expenditure account code but dose not appear in the Budget Analysis Report. Also we have had a Budget recorded against a jobs account code,but no expenditure, and this dose not appear in the Budget Analysis Report. Our previous MYOB v16 did include all activity giving us an accurate view of the Budget,/ Expenditure for each job. MYOB Tech help could not advise on any solution for us. Is there a report where we can obtain an accurate Budget vrs Expenditure by Job? Hi I have a client who works on a financial year for tax etc. They budget on the financial year also. But as farmers they also need to budget on a calendar year. Would MYOB be able to set up the budgetting so that it could be chosen by date and not just by financial year. Please would you bring back the pitiful functionality we had with Jobs & Budgets! There is no date parameter with the reporting facility for Budgets for Jobs! In previous versions, we were able to compare Monthly & YTD budget & actual & now this is impossible. Please don't make me have to set up the "mother of all spreadsheets" & faff around! I am waiting for my accountant to finalise 2014 and close off 2013-2014. In the interium I want to complete my budget reports for next 2 years and check ytd sales figures against budget. In the old myob system you had 3 to 4 years in advance so you could start working on next financial year. Any chance MYOB could update this feature in the system? When the Prepared Budgets window is opened it only shows a portion of the 12 months of the year (Account Name, FY Total and April through to January inclusive) - the February and March months are not viewable unless the user scrolls to the right of the form. By scrolling to the right you then lose the April and May months from view. These days most computer users have fairly large screens (24" throughout our office). Could we please get this screen/form enlarged to show all months of the year including the Account Name and FY total. It would be much better and easier to complete budgets if all the information could be viewed in one screen without having to scroll to the right.
