Setup: Filing cabinet for documents
Our small business is currently trying to go paperless as much as possible. Any accounts received by email are received as a pdf and I transfer it into files for safe keeping. I started thinking wouldn't it be easy if you were able to scan the document from a scanner /or emailand import the pdf and attach to customer fileor invoice or receipt number etc thus allowing you to look in the one area for a copy of a document instead of two places. It would be time and cost effective and easy for the accountant and thetax audit trail or is there something that does this all now and I am behind? Trying to get beyond the pile of paper. As a small company the option of printing or emailing statments is a very valuable tool. However, after emailingthe customers who provide you with an email address it would be considerably easier if the same customers did not then appear as an option on the "to be printed" Statement list. Currently you have to rely on your memory as to whom you have emailed. So my idea would be to have a default option as to "email or print statements". Or can this already be done without having to change the address each time. When entering data say via Spend Money in AccountRight Standard v19 (or less) you can create the card as you go. I have inadvertently on a number of occasions created a customer card instead of a supplier card, and transactions have been allocated to the card over the years automatically. On occasions I have picked this up and havejust change the card-type without a hitch BUT in the 2012 version this cannot be done. I have just picked up another card in my data file that has the incorrect card type but this field is now greyed out. In our industry we need to have things like National Police Check, Working with Children Cards ect kept on file at all times, keeping a PDF File on the employee card would help a great deal. One feature that is lacking from MYOB is the abillity to have a Head Office account so multiple customers can have their invoices combined onto one statement. for example one of our customers is a chain of hardware stores currently we use one account (ABC Hardware - head office)to invoice the store in the PO# we put the PO # Town it would be much simpler if we could have an account for each store (much easier when looking at their history) that is then charged back to the Head Office account and will appear on one statement easily identified by our customer as PO # Town Inv # Hope thismake sense :) "Customer Cards - Head Office Accounts"24KViews42likes41CommentsReports: On which customer cards are on credit hold
It is one of the most important of all areas for all businesses to keep a tight reign on cash flow and overdue accounts, buy MYOB lets us down badly in credit managment reporting. Need a simple overdue customer report which can be filtered by all customers who are one or two terms past their invoice term. Need a report which lists all customers currently on credit hold Need a report which lists all customers over their credit limit. Also it would be excellent to see if a customer is on credit hold when you are processing payments. (Like it comes up when you are invoicing) That red flag would alert you to check if that customer can come off credit hold. At present every single payment for every customer has to be checked by zooming into the card to check if they were previously on credit hold. A big waste of time!! Please, please fix these things...
