To Do List: Paying Suppliers (bulk payment not each invoice separately)
I have just started using MYOB Accountright Plus Live and used to make my supplier payments using the "To Do List"- very fast way to make bulk payments. The new version of MYOB doesn't combine all the payments to the same supplier into one bulk payment, instead it pay each invoice seperately. This is a problem for two reasons, firstly it significantly increases the number of payments in my electronic banking files and secondly Myob will only let you make these payments in batches of up to 50 payments at a time. (very very inconvenient as I now need to go into pay bills and make a payment to each supplier individually and then prepare my electronic payments (doing payroll and creditors seperately due to the number of transactions in my .aba file). Currently the To-Do list provides a report for stock alert- However this report does not include the min stock required details which is in the buying details tab of the item code. Please can we have this included in this report, as the current stock alert report really tells you nothing apart from what is in stock and what is on order. If a min was included - it would be a much more useful report giving you more of recomended re-order requirement. I have just upgraded to AR2013 hoping that significant improvements had been made since 2012.9 and earlier. The upgrade was painful and took two half hour phone calls with the great tech help guys. But I digress.... AR19.7 (and earlier versions) - Stock Alert. If you select an item from the Stock Alert list, it will automatically create a PO and also automatically add any other items from that same supplier that were also on the Stock Alert list. This is a great feature that fills your PO with all the stuff you need from that supplier. It is a critical feature that ensures that you don't forget include a needed item on a PO. AR2011 and 2012 did not do this. I was hoping, after pointing it out during the AR2012 Live Pilot, that AR2013 would include this very important feature. I am very disappointed. When selecting an item from the Stock Alert list in AR2013, only that one item appears in the resulting PO. Any other items that you normally buy from that supplier are ignored and remain in the Stock Alert list. You then need to go through the Stock Alert list, line by line and try to identify the Primary Supplier of each item and manually add the relevent items to the PO. Hi, Im a roofer and we do a lot of work for Real Estates, Builders,private jobs, or Stratas etc etc and deal with a lot of actualphysical street addresses. Not all our jobs have job numbers from the client (real eastates etc) so address is easier to find straight away. We use the Service Invoices - I am suggesting that the Journal Memo on the Service invoice can be pulled through to the To Do List and also the Accounts Receiveable. If you can take a column out or add a colum in its place - you customise what you want to pull through. When we deal with the Real Estate we talk physical address and at the moment I am needing to either go into each invoice to find the job they are talking about (could be up to 100 jobs a month) or go by my written records to find the transaction by the amount due to use the accounts receiveable to match the job. I would like the following to show so I can quickly and easilymatch my invoices to the jobs on To Do List and when Receivng Payments. Would look something like this Date: Invoice:Address (Journal Memo or Ship to address)Amount: Job # Quote # days/overdue etc. 01/2/16000069990 George St Sydney $ 890.001/45 16/0045 14/7/16. 11111 0000 GeorgeSt Sydney$1900.00888 16/0102 This way you can see what the invoice numberis - what/where it refers to and also easily find an invoice by the address since that is what I deal with - not the actual invoice number. Even if you can pull extra details through to customise your own screen as you want to see it for your own needs -eg canadd Job number or Quote Number (depending how you set up wording wise on your invoice) I use these so have added that as example - this is what I would like to have so I can find everything straight away. Hope that all makes sense. Im just busy and need to match my jobs with the address so I can find allocate and get paperwork done a lot quicker. Hi Myob, If your stock alert works on available intead of stock on hand it would work better, because if you have orders from customers your stock alert does come up on the list but it does not transfer to you supplier order form because according to stock on hand you do not need to order the product, but according to stock availability you need to re-order for orders not send. If people don't want that function why can you not give the option of re-order levels for stock on hand and stock available? The Accountsright 19 works on stock levels including what is on order. The way it is now you could either order too little because it does not take the orders of our customers in the calculation for re-order stock but only stock on hand. It also causes to over re-order because stock that was not delivered might be re-ordered. Just a suggestion that might help a lot. Hi MYOB, While we love the idea of the "to do" function, it does seem to have some flaws: 1. It's great that partners in the firm can assign tasks to other staff members, but it would be even better if they received notification that it had been completed, instead of just disappearing off the "to do" list. It might also pay to not just have an option to view "uncompleted tasks" but also "completed tasks". 2. It would also benefit practices to be able to see who actually assigned the task to you, without having to look under the history tab inside the "to do" window. 3. It doesn't seem any thought has gone in to the tasks that all practices have that may not be client specific. Unfortunately, it has to be launched within a client file. Is there any way that this can also be changed? 4. Another great idea would be a "new" button in the "to do" screen, instead of having to search for the client, go into the client file, go to the "to do" tab and enter a new task that way. Seeming it is a "to do" page, shouldn't we be able to create new ones in the same screen and search for clients through that? Would love to see some improvements to this function!
