Hi, Every day we import sales data using the import/export assistant. It would really save time if one could save some default settings. So on the first page we alays have to click import data. On page 2 we alwsys have to click sales and then service sales, and then we have to select the same file from the same location. (our excel macro that makes the data nice and friendly makes the same file in the same location each time) On page 3 we have to change the first line contains to data On page 4 we always click match all On page 5 we click import. It would save so much time if MYOB could remember just a few of these settings, or in preferences allow you to set some defaults so that you don't need so many clicks each import. Hi, I'm importing employees' timesheets through Import and Export Assistant, but unfortunately under the Available Fields there is no Acitivity field. Thus I'm unable to import automatically this particular piece of data and after importing all the timesheets I need to manually enter Activity in every single timesheet. This is taking some additional time which otherwise can be spared for some other tasks. That's why I'll appreciate it much if this field could be included in the Availabel Fields list. Thanks a lot! Just recently upgraded from v19 to 2013.3. Not very happy with the export to Excel formatting at all. I now have to reformat all the exported reports as the numbers come through as text, not numbers. Also, I had an ODBC connection in the last version which has now disappeared. I am used to being able to download information directly into Excel from the accounting package without having to "Export"it. I would like to see the reporting functionality improved to allow for more customisation. I understand that MYOB wants us accountants to move away from using Excel as a reporting tool, but that is just denying the the fact that everybody uses Excel as a reporting tool whether you like it or not. Hello, I'm wondering ifI can only import the items and quantities, and then MYOBapplies the default pricing matrixwhich isalready in system.Eg, import csv file as follows- 1.Import DateCustomer Name/cardid, Item NumberandQuantity. 2. MYOB generates invoice usingimported data and pricing rules in MYOB I was able to successfully do step1, however the sales order generated all had $0 for price. I thought we could have some sort of an option or setting on items wherein MYOB could override or apply pricing if not present in the import data. We have 2000 + sales orders generated every month and complex pricing rules depending on the customer and the quantity. It was great to set up the pricing rules in MYOB but I can't indivudally generate the invoice for every customer each month as the item quantity will vary each month. MYOB being such a mature accounting software, I thought this would be already present. Can this be made available? IF not is there a workaround to this? ~David. It appears you can only import invoices with about 5 - 7 lines, any more than this and the invoice doesn't import. On previous versions I had no problems importing invoices with 30 or so lines. As I do this at every month end the suggestion from the report team that I manually key the invoices, or break itinto several invoices just won't work. Can you please upgrade the number of lines that can be included in a single invoice. Currently when exporting/importing purchases in to Account Right 2011 from Retail Manager the creditor payment terms default to COD rather than the credit terms in the Account Right product. This is a new fault as in all previous versions the terms where picked up with the import to Accounting/Premier products. This iskey information which is being omitted off data being exported / imported from one data file to another. My client is a electricaltradesman who uses the item type sale to list materialsand labour soldand needs a section to type in notes for location and work performed that can be viewed on the screen in its interity (not hiden by expandable field). There is no excuse why MYOB reports cannot be exported to excel or any other programme format in the correct formats for that programme. Not just as text across all columns. In MYOB a date column will always be a date. In a debit, credit of balance columns the data will always be a $ value. In other columns there may be general numbers and finally text. It just poor programming to say you cant export in the correct formats. how hard is it to work that out. This is one of the biggest reasons why we are considering switching to Xero.
