What’s happening?

We’re excited to announce PayPal as an additional payment option alongside existing payment methods. By offering multiple fast, secure and convenient payment options, we’re making it easier than ever to get paid with MYOB.

To enable PayPal customers just need to sign up for Online Invoice Payments, and when they send an invoice, simply have the check box ‘Allow Online Payments’ ticked.

On the payers' end, when they receive the invoice, they’ll be provided with the option to pay online, using a credit card, BPAY, Apple, Google Pay and now PayPal. Payers can choose an option that best suits them and with PayPal, they now have the option to buy now and pay later using PayPal’s Pay in 4 capability.

All payment options are priced at 1.8% of the value of the invoice + 0.25c.

    Hi Ianmc12,

    Thanks for your response.

As per checking, PayPal will not be an option for all merchants. This includes non-profit business and transaction types. As we check your account, you have a merchant category detail of 8699, which falls into the category of non-profit, and this is the reason why PayPal is not available when an invoice is received.

hi, selvaganapathy where do these payments go?? I haven't set anything up with myob and someone has just paid two very large invoices via paypal and I have no idea how to access this? Do I have control over where the payments go when they pay by paypal or is it just to a MYOB bucket and then you take days to transfer them through. Or, can I set this up to go to my business paypal account?

    Hi Doreen

Yes this is what I have done, we have been using Online Invoice payments for some time and the paypal option appears on the invoice in MYOB when I create the invoice however, when the customer receives the invoice there is no Paypal option. I  raised a test invoice yesterday and emailed to myself and confirmed there is no paypal option to pay. I have since deselected the online invoice payment option and then re selected the Online payment option and tried again and it still doesnt work?

    Hi doublet

    Thank you for your post.

If online invoice payments is set up correctly, payments from your customer will go automatically to your bank account you've specified to record your online invoice payments. You may use the Find transactions to access payments.

Our Help Articles, Online invoice payments, has detailed information to assist with this.

Please feel free to post again I'm happy to assist.

    Hi

We have online payments for our invoices, however customers are unable to use the PayPal option even though it is listed as a payment option. We are a NFP preschool - is this an issue?

If  payers cant use that option can it be deleted from the list of payment options?

    Thanks - Jo

    Hi hms1

    Thank you for your post.

As of the moment there is no incident report for Pay pal option in Online invoice Payments not working. We can't delete this option from the list, we ca only remove or turn off the Online invoice payments.

I will take a look into this and to further check can you please send me a Private message with your serial number and email address.

    Cheers,

    Princess

We are looking at introducing Pay Pal and Pay in 4 and MYOB appears to have this option in the create a sales invoice screen however, when the Invoice is received by the customer there is no option for them to use Pay Pal. Can someone let me know what else do I have to do to enable the Paypal option?

    Hi Ianmc12,

    Thanks for your post.

Thanks for your interest with PayPal as a payment option for your customers. To have the PayPal payment option available, all you have to do is to sign up with 'Online Invoice Payments' and the PayPal will be automatically one of the payment options your customers have, there is nothing additional you need to do. More information regarding your concern can be found in the Help Article: Online invoice payments.
