Import GL Journal with GST - Error 19 Unbalanced Transaction
Hi,
I am having problems uploading a GL journal template into MYOB where the transaction has GST. The import log says the journal is unbalanced. Where the transaction has no GST and I use the N-T option the journal loads, so the issue I think is with the Tax Amount.
My first question is the Tax Amount the gross value of the transaction including GST or the GST 10% value itself?
I have attached my template and hoping I can get some help :)
MYOB version - Account Right Plus AU 2022.9.0
Solved by removing the Tax Account column from the import file. By inputting GST in the Tax Code column calculates the Tax Amount when the journal is posted. The BAS reporting looks fine with this journal and happy that we have saved significant manual processing time.
