    Hey Bullswool,

     

    For reloading a returning employee into NZ Desktop Payroll version 2024.2, you should load them as a new employee. In addition, when dealing with a returning employee, consider the following NZ employment rules and regulations:

    1. Leave Entitlements: Ensure that their leave entitlements are correctly calculated based on their new start date.
    2. KiwiSaver: Check if they need to be re-enrolled in KiwiSaver or if they've opted out previously.
    3. Tax Code: Verify their tax code and any other relevant tax details.
    4. Employment Agreement: Ensure that their employment agreement is updated and compliant with current regulations.

Hi Bullswool In NZ Payroll when you create a new employee - you can copy data from the old employee code. You should create a new employee code because then you have a record and correct start and finish dates.
