ABA File $$$ does not match Nett

We have an issue with our two most recent pay periods.

The ABA uploaded file is $900.00 more than the total Net Pay on the payroll Activity Summary.

We have isolated the error - which was due to an entry on the employee card file under payment details.

Pay is split between three accounts - one was

entered as 100 percent instead of $100.00

Our employee has been overpaid $900.00 per week for two weeks.

How is this possible???

Is there no check on the ABA total$ compared to the Nett Pay$$$$

We have our own internal checks and fortunately  will be able to resolve with this employee -

    Thanks for your prompt response

    further question/detail

The employee card was set up with

    1 x fixed amount - dollars specified)

    2 x 100 percent (should have been $100)

    3 x fixed amount - dollars specified)

it appears that there is no check at this stage either - to highlight there is an error ???

    Hi Caroline5254,

The error occurred because the payment details on the employee card were incorrectly set. The system doesn't automatically check the ABA file total against the Net Pay, so it's essential to ensure that the payment details are correctly entered to avoid such any mix-ups. To fix this, it really depends on what your employee prefers. You can either reprocess the correct pay or make an adjustment. For more details, check out this link. Also, since this issue is a bit complex, I recommend reaching out to our support team for more help.
