exporting data
I'm trying to export sales - sales type item sales - status orders. My report has exported invoices as well!

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community forum.
Thank you for expressing your concern. In this regard, when exporting data, you can choose export options for some of the things you can export. You will choose this option for the Import and Export Assistant. The selection varies depending upon the type of information you are exporting. I know how to export data and to filter the data. The data has been duplicated in MYOB! One record shows the entry as an order and the other entry shows the record as an invoice! Exported file is attached.

This is a known issue in MYOB. If you use orders, when you convert to an invoice, MYOB hides the Order but leaves it in the file. When exporting, there is a bug an orders are also included even when not selected. You need to sort the export and remove the orders (or get MYOB to fix the bug ;). FYI this does not affect your file accuracy.
If your file gets too big due to the number of converted orders, there is a myob specialist who can remove the Orders out of the system, saving space and improving performance.

Thanks for the reply. Funny how after being on hold for 1.5hrs with MYOB they couldnt understand my query, then hung up on me. Who is this MYOB specialist who can fix this problem?

Tried sending you a private message, however you are not 'allowed' to receive private messages.
Try FGH Tables - they can't 'fix' the export problem but they can remove converted orders so they no longer appear in the export.

We thank you for your patience with this matter and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This is a known problem on MYOB. As gavin12345 stated. Orders that have already been converted to sales are included in the exported information when using the Import/Export Assistant to export the item order. Since converted orders should not be exported, they are no longer present in the file.
