Import Errors

Hi,

I exported our items to increase the pricing.

When I went to import the new prices, the Import Log shows the following error messages:

78 records imported without errors.

906 records imported with warnings.

706 records skipped.

Summary of errors

Error -7: Item Number may not be more than 30 characters.

Error -4077: You have sales for this item.

Warning 42: Item Name cannot be more than 30 characters; name truncated.

Warning 74: #Items per buying unit may only be specified for items that are bought and inventoried

Warning 75: #Items per selling unit may only be specified for items that are sold and inventoried

How do I fix this to ensure the new pricing is changed?

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi Cell

    All run for you.

Do ensure that you close down the company file and reopen it before attempting that import again.

  • Hi Cell

Error 7 is pretty self-explanatory the item number contains more than 30 characters. To address this one you need to ensure that the item number in the import file is 30 characters or less.

Error 4077 is an import error that we do have a script (tool) that needs to be run over the file. So we can arrange for that one to be run for you, can you confirm the following information:

    • Where the company file is stored i.e. online or local
    • What the LAST FOUR DIGITS of the serial number is - Setup>>Company Information
    • What is the company file ID - Help>>About AccountRight

      Hi Steven

      Company is stored online.

Last four digits are 0738 and the Company ID is 1.

      Looking forward to your assistance.
