Importing Sales Orders rather than Invoices

are you able to import data so they create orders rather than invoices??

trying to get around being able to import sales data, but them rejecting because we don't have enough stock entered into the system

if we could raise as orders than convert, this would address the issue.

Any otpions, I cant find any easily??

  • Hi AmandaRobertsC , yes, sales can be imported as orders. For example, if you are using the Import/Export facility, set "Sale status" to "O" instead of "I".

Thanks AmandaRobertsC ! We have created a solution for a client who receives daily sales orders as CSV/Excel files from multiple sources, and we import them (ie post via the API) to their AccountRight file as invoices, but we check the onhand stock for every line, and if any line on the order has insufficient stock, we change the sale tatus to a sales order before posting it.  This makes the import process more efficient.
