    Hi IfYouSeekAmy

A transaction that is at the order stage* will not affect any accounts. As it doesn't affect any accounts no transaction journal entry is created and thus would not appear in the Journal Security Audit report.

The system will only track that transaction when it is converted into a Bill. At which point the accounts are affected and thus you use the Journal Security Audit report (and others) to identify who created that Bill (wouldn't be able to see who created the original order).

*Order stage being when you look at the sale/purchase within the Enter Sales/Enter Purchase window it is yellow in colour

Some reports allow you to modify the report to add a field called UserID. Generate the relevant report, setting dates to ensure the Order you want is included and add the UserID field to the report.

    Regards

    Gavin

        Hi IfYouSeekAmy

There is a Session Security Audit report which includes both the date that a transaction was created as well as the user.  This canbe used for any transaction.

You will the date of the transaction as well as a range of dates that you believe the transaction was created.

For example, if you open the sample file for 2019.4 Plus, there is a sale on the 14th August 2019.  To find all the details about this sale, I selected the session date range from 1/1/2016 to today and the Transaction date range from 14/8/2019 to 14/8/2019.

The result showed that the user was Administrator abd the date the transaction was created was 17/6/2019.

        Hope this helps you.
