Payroll tax and Superannuation Guarantee
I'm in WA.
Can someone please clarify: Do I need to include Superannuation Guarantee (SG) payments in our Payroll Tax declaration?
I know I need to inlcude unpaid SG amounts and addtional Super payments (above the SG 9.5% employee and/or employer) but I'm not sure about the base SG.
Thanks in advance
Claire
Hello Accounts12341
Based on what I can see on the WA Government site, only additional Super and unpaid SG amounts are explicitly stated as being included in Payroll Tax. As such, that does lead me to believe the base SG is not required to be included. However, as I am not an expert in state-specific requirements this is definitely something I would double check with the ATO or a WA accounting entity. Additionally, perhaps another user on the forum with experience in WA payroll tax will be able to chime in with specific advice.
