Payslips-removing emergency contact details

STP phase 2 with self onboarding.  Employees put their emergency contact details in and appears under comments.  This appears on the employees pay advice.  How do I remove from appearing?  An ethical auditor has suggested that those details should not appear on the payslip.

  • Hi Jackie66

    Thank you for your post.

Regarding to your issue since you’re under STP Phase 2, we are assuming that your company file is an online file already. May you please try to access your account directly on the browser by using this link  Sign in to MYOB

Please take note to use the email log ins same as what you’re using on your AccountRight Desktop version.

Once you’ve signed in successfully you may proceed on the following steps, you may go to Payroll tab>> click Employee>> Select the Employee that has the emergency contact details on pay slips click Employee Name>> Under Contact Details tab>> Scroll down to More information section>> Delete the Notes (which contains the emergency contact details)>> click SAVE

After following those steps above, emergency contact details for that employee should no longer be showing on the pay slip. You may try to run a dummy pay or you can wait until the next pay period to check it on the pay slip.

If you need further help with this don't hesitate to start a new or reply to this post and we'll be happy to assist.

      Hi Shella_A

Where would you suggest the emergency details should be saved?

      Hi Shella_A

If Jackie66  is using AccountRight, wouldn't it be better to customise the pay slip form so the Notes field is not on the pay slip.

That way you are able to retain the employee's emergency contact details online without having to have a separate database setup for emergency contact details.

      • Alan, thank you.

I agree, I think this is the better way, as there is quite a lot of information the employees supply with their emergency contacts.

Will give it a try before next pay run.

        Thanks
