Super on Overtime

All of a sudden myob is calculating super on overtime, it began after the new upgrade. How do I overcome this so that it only calculates on ordinary hours?

    Hi Mel

problem has been rectified, had our accountants on the job, they had no idea, but when we went into a new month the overtime is calculating correctly again, seemed to be only September that had the hiccup.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi wimmey ,

You will need to exempt superannuation from calculating against wage category.

This can be done by doing the following:

    - Go to Payroll command centre and click on Payroll categories
    - Click on the Superannuation Tab
    - Selecting the Superannuation Category
    - Clicking on Exempt at the top of the window
    - In the window that appears you will be able to select the over time category to be exempted from the superannuation calculations.

Please let us know how you go with this. We are more than happy to assist.

        Hi wimmey,

That does sound strange, are you able to provide me with some additional details:

        - A screenshot of the Superannuation Category set up.

        - A screenshot of an example where the superannuation is calulating incorrectly.

        - Please go to Card file > Employee cards > Payroll details > Pay history > Select the month in question > Please take a screenshot of the figures.

        - Could you please record a test payrun (you do not have to record it) set the payment date in a new month, please check if it is still calculating on overtime.
