AccountRight online BAS lodgement - delay when logging-in to this service

G'day - is anyone else having trouble logging-in to the online BAS lodgement module today ?

 

Tried at 11:30 Eastern time and again at 12:45 - just a spinning wheel. Gave up after 3 mins.

Looks like I'll have to wait until tonight.

 

I guess the reasons could be:

- heavy traffic on the ATO website / business portal, as businesses lodge their annual PSAR and TPR

- heavy traffic on MyGov, by taxpayers trying to download their payment summaries (group certificates)

- June Qtr BAS lodgements.

 

No doubt, there's life yet for the paper or PDF Payment  Summary* issued by their employer !

(* now an Income statement)

 

Seems people want to take a paper copy of their Payment Summary to their tax agent,

even though if they use the same agent they had last year, the agent will have received an electronic copy from the Tax Office, in their pre-fill data.

- a real Melbourne Cup atmosphere, including Fashions on the Field.

    The ATO did report an outage today however this issue should now be resolved.

     

    Kym__Yeoward are you able to try again and confirm that it is now working for you?

    Yes i had been trying but then checked the site info and ATO is down till 7pm.
