Creating new employee - set default hours to 0
Whenever I create a new employee for my business I must set a default hour setting. Any casual employees we have will therefore have incorrect hours in the payrun as their pay changes week to week. Having incorrect hours in by default means that at the beginning of every pay run I must go through each of our employees and set each entry to "0" before I can actually begin the pay run to ensure that I do not make a mistake and pay someone the wrong amount. The only change that needs to be made is to allow "0" to be the default weekly hours when I create a new employee. I cannot understand by this has been disallowed, as we could do it for years before the update in early 2024. Simple solution: Remove the requirement to set a non-0 hour as the default in employee creation.3Views0likes0CommentsFiling System - Payroll
It is standard practice for personnel names in payroll to be filed by the surname and then the christian name. This is a standard business practice accepted globally and dates back to the days of paper and pen! Believe it or not this function is not available in MYOB on-line. So if you have several staff members with the same christian name they will all be listed under one another. The desk-top system files according to surname, why has this not been carried over to the on-line system? Is MYOB dumbing down the system even more? MYOB, your fees are ever increasing but the level of service provided ever decreasing. I will be investigating if this facility is available in Xero3Views0likes0CommentsSUPER PAID BUTTON
In MYOB Business Pro, Can we please have a SUPER PAID BUTTON within the Superannuation Payments screen. A lot of clients are now having to lodge ATO SGC Statements which means the SGC payments are left in this area. Its ok while the same bookkeeper is using the file but if a new bookkeeper takes over, they may not realise that a SGC statement has been lodged. In Xero there is a Super paid button that you can tick off Super that has been paid but not through the Xero portal. Can we have something similar in MYOB Thanks Desley BoshardADD ABILITY TO EDIT PAYSLIPS IN MYOB ESSENTIALS!!!
ADD ABILITY TO EDIT PAYSLIPS IN MYOB ESSENTIALS!!! THIS IS A NECCESSARY OPTION! The current payslip is messy and doesnt work for all employees. The margins dont even align. ADD THE OPTION TO EDIT PAYSLIP TEMPLATE! You have it in myob account right so it cant be hard to merge over Please add this option ASAPUpdating employee's cards
MYOB Could we please get payroll fixed so that when you edit the employee's card and change their pay rate, you are asked if you want their Standard pay updated BEFORE it makes any changes? For example, when you have casual employees that do not have a Standard Pay you have to remember to reduce their standard pay back to $0 every time you update their record. I just had this happen again yesterday for a client who nearly paid the wrong amount to a number of casual employees who had received a pay rate review. Or, maybe allow the employee to have a weekly pay period of 0 hours! Thanks.34Views2likes1CommentMYOB Business Payroll - ability to allocate to jobs
MYOB Business Pro has a Payroll function but there is currently no ability to allocate the earnings to a job which is something that is a common requirements from businesses and organisations. Please consider adding this capability just as you already have for any other transactions entered, such as spending money, purchases etc.33Views1like3CommentsReport: Payroll activity - list alphabetically by last name
Who was the genius that decided that a payroll report should list employees alphabetically baed on their first name instead of their surname? MYOB have never done this before (for good reason). No other accounting report or ATO report or any report lists employees alphabetically based on their first name. If there is a good reason for it, I certainly cannot see it. Please either change the alphabetical listing in the reports to be based on surnames, or give the user the ability to edit the way that the reports are listed like Xero does? "Payroll activity report listed alphabetically using surname (NOT first name)"1.7KViews44likes4CommentsGlitch in Payruns and Standard pay
Hello Three system glitches that need fixing, and I dont know how they haven't been already!! Have been an issue for years. Using the web based version of Account right. In Employee set up, you must have hours in pay cycle. These hours then transfer over to the tab "standard pay". This should not happen unless you enter it manually as currently it then adds itself into the pay run and the employee shows up as working twice the amount of hours, if you are running on timesheets to calculate the hours. EXAMPLE: I gave my employee a payrise. For some reason, under the Standard Pay tab, in wages - base hours, 38 has automatically been placed there. My employee does a timesheet every week on which he gets paid those hours. When I start a new pay run, instead of the 30hours worked it is showing 68 hours because of this strange automatic adding of a "standard pay". PLEASE REMOVE THIS. Next, when you start a pay run, it says "No timesheets for this pay period" even though there is. You have to change the date to tomorrow then back to today in order for the current timesheets to show up for selection. Why is it like this? Please fix. Next, when entering bills the automatic fill in will pick up the business the bill is for but no other information. I have found if you select a random different business, then go back to selecting the correct business then the autofill will pick up the right information for that business./ All such frustrating tedious things that shouldn't occur in a programe thats been running for this long. It makes MYOB so clunky and finicky to use, no wonder so many are giving up on it. Please fix what needs to be fixed instead of updating the look of the dashboard every 6 months. We pay enough money for this program that it shouldnt be so annoying to use.346Views7likes2Comments
