Nor has the superannuation guarantee increased to 11.5%.  I thought all of these updates happened AUTOMATICALLY, to 'save us time', but I have been waiting 3 1/2 hours to get started on today's payroll.  What is the delay and when can we expect this to be corrected?

    • I found a link somewhere which state, do a pay run in the new financial year & it will automatically update & apply the new rates.

Thanks Angela!  It's not very reassuring though, is it, when that information is not readily available and you have to start your payroll blind.

Anyway, back to work!  Thanks again!

My tax tables have changed to 1/7/24 but the tax is still being calculated as though it was 22/23. I have checked against the 2024 ATO online calculator and the tax it’s taking out is too much for all employees. I have finalized last year as well as done a pay run in the 2024 year but as yet the tax is still being calculated as though it was last FY. I have an MYOB support ticket and have told them it’s still not calculating the correct tax but no one at MYOB appears to believe me as they don’t reply to my emails. Not sure how I can fix this.

  • Hi Angela18, bradm30 and Marise,

Thanks for your post. I can see that you are having bit of a hiccup with the tax table revision date. Normally, the tax table should update itself after you've done your first pay run. I can a run script for it to be fixed. Please check your inbox as I have sent a private message. Kindly response with your account information in the private message that I sent for the security purposes of your account.

    Cheers,

    Jem

      Hi Jem,

I'm unsure as to how to send you a private message. The email you sent with the subject "New Private Message on MYOB Community!" has a no reply email address. If i click on the link in that email that says "Reply to this message" it takes me to my inbox for the MYOB Community. The only options then available to me are Delete or Report Conversion. Can you help me to reply privately to you?

        Hi bradm30,

Sorry for replying so late. I hope you managed to message Jemar and that she helped you with the tax rates. If not, no worries at all, just let me know, and I'll be more than ready to lend a hand.

Feel free to get in touch if you need more help.

        Cheers,

        Princess

  • I am having the exact same issue as the above customers.  Payslips show correct net pay as per new tax tables but the amount that has come out of the business account and paid this financial year to employees is as per last year's tax rates (so incorrect amounts have gone into employees accounts).

I can see in one instance above a 'script' was going to be run by MYOB to resolve this issue and in another case, it was established for this customer that there was an issue with 'duplicate tax tables installed in a data file' - that MYOB had to fix.

I need this fixed for me as well and am unclear why it is not being communicated to customers that there is an issue.  Please advise.

      Hi DualFuel,

I understand that you're experiencing an issue with MYOB not calculating the tax rate accurately after processing pay runs for July. This problem requires further investigation and isn't something that can be resolved with a simple script. Our dedicated team needs to repair the file. Please partner with our live chat support for more detailed assistance.

To connect with a live chat agent, please start by contacting our virtual assistant, MOCA, through myob.com/support. If MOCA is unable to resolve your issue, it will transfer you directly to our live chat team for further help. Also, you can raise a support ticket via My Account.

      Cheers,

      Princess
