Exporting orders

Running out of options here. I have a business-critical issue relating to Item Sale exports as outlined in case 01055631.

I've requested escalation of the resolution of this issue via the following channels, to no avail:

- AccountRight specialist

- MYOB Customer Success Specialist

- Emailed to feedback@myob.com

Can SOMEONE please assist in getting this bug fixed, or its goodbye to AccountRight for me.

    Hi tbaalham

Thank you very much for the details.

I gather that the issue you are having is that when exporting item orders,

the exported information includes orders that have been previously converted to sales. These converted orders are no longer in the file as orders and shouldn’t be exported. I understand that our product specialist have gotten in touch and provided information on it.

It is as you already know - it's a known issue currently sitting with our developers to be fixed. We can pass on your feedback to help the teams prioritise their work, however, I'm afraid that we do not have an ETA available at the moment.

The possible workaround would be using the Sales Register [All Sales] report filtered by Sales Type Order, export to Excel or a CSV or TSV file for further customisation. Depending on what you use the exported data for, you may seek add-on solutions that integrates AccountRight with other software, or provides a better way of extracting data - Add-ons.

Hi CloverQ I appreciate your response, but there isn't much help to be had in what you have said.

We are working on the Desktop (not Cloud) version of the product, as the online version doesn't support multi-currency and does not even seem to have the concept of an Order, so add-ons are not of much use.

The report you mentioned only exports a single summary line per order, whereas the Export Item Sales exports all line items of the order, which is the data we need. Other reports that do export line item data for orders don't do it in a consistent single record format, so again of no use.

It is simply not acceptable that basic and documented functionality of the product can have known bugs in it for a period of 2 years, and simply be ignored and remain unfixed.

This bug will eventually swamp our downstream software with extraneous data, and if we cannot resolve the issue we will have no choice but to seek an alternative solution for our accounting needs.

If anyone else is experiencing problems with AR desktop (not cloud) exporting Item Sales ORDERS, and getting seemingly random INVOICES in with the data, please add a comment here.

According to the AR specialist I spoke to, this is a known bug, and has been "known" for around 2 years. :smileysad:
