Forum Discussion
Hi Everyone
Thank you for your feedback
With the release of AccountRight 2023.1 we have introduced a new prompt that does appear when emailing from the software. This is to alert the user that the email has been successfully delivered to Outlook, previously there was no indication as to the outcome.
At this time, there is no provision to disable that message from appearing, however, we do thank you for your feedback and will be sharing this with our teams.

Dear Steven_M
Thank you for your totally useless response. I process close to 1000 invoices per batch and I now need to acknowledge the bleeding obvious by clicking the button 1000 times per batch. Add this to the other mouse clicks I am already forced to click and you have increased my workload significantly.
I would be interested in the thought process behind this useless feature;
Who requested it?
Who researched the effects it may have on the end user?
Who beta tested it?
Who signed off on it?
To me, and the others on the forum who have commented, it is an annoyance and I cannot understand who, in this busy world would welcome yet another step in the process
At the very least incorporate a "Do not prompt me again" check box which needs to be ticked on the first appearance of this annoying and useless prompt so those of us who know what they are doing can exonerate you of any responsibility for the sending of emails from your application - a bit like the really annoying prompt which appears on the display in your car when you first start it up - you know, the useless "Do not stare at this screen while driving" ay least there is a button to turn that off for the duration of the journey.

Hi Stephen,
It is a disappointment that there are no plans to remove this. Terrible from a user point of view, and so odd that is was added to the latest version, without a way to turn off. Seems a waste of time for work done when there are more pressing issues to fix.
Cheers

Why can't MYOB just admit it made a mistake and get rid of this unwanted, intrusive feature. Just another button to press for no reason at all. If you want to appear proactive, why not fix the constant, daily crashes?

Apparently if enough people suggest this feature be turned off in AccountRight Idea Exchange it will get prioritised or so we are told.
"Showing your support/submitting an idea helps aid in the prioritisation process for that idea (by assessing demand)." ( I saw this from Steven @ MYOB on another thread )

Hi Steven,
We are having the same issue as everyone else with the Invoice sent message. When you are sending multiple invoices a day this becomes extremly frustrating.
When are MYOB removing this or at least giving users the option of disabling the message.

Wow really need this pop up box removed asap, it is driving me mad having to click on it each time I email. Not a handy update.
- pls082 years agoExperienced User
why did you delete my post.
It was critical but not nasty or rude.
Seriously guys... if you can't take criticism then you shouldn't have a forum.
The whole idea is to improve and fix problems. We pay for your service and should be able to ask fo solutions
I wish myob was as quick at rectifying problems

They don't just delete posts, but change your wording around as well.

Hi Steven
I would just like to add my name to the list of people that want this removed, it is as everyone has stated an annoying waste of time and effort.
- DanielleGW2 years agoExperienced User
Please add me to this list too. Annoying and should definitely have a tick box to prevent future pop ups.

I'm loving the responses, seems this "feature"is universaly hated.
I'm also noticing NO response from MYOB - cat got yer tongue?
I have a suggestion MYOB, why not hold a referendum to poll the true feelings of the masses?

I just got an email. The February updates from MYOB.
I quote:
This month we've brought you the top content to help you manage your critical business workflows more efficiently and get the most out of your MYOB software
I would like my workflow to be efficient like it used to be, like just before you forced the last update, adding this extra step.

"previously there was no indication as to the outcome."
Isn't this what the sent box in Outlook is for? That's a pretty clear indication something was sent.
I agree with all other comments - this has to be one of the most unnecessary and inconvenient 'upgrades' to MYOB yet.
Is it going to do this with statements as well? It's a waste of all our valuable time and I really can't see the thought process behind such a genius move. Obviously nobody who had to send more than one invoice at a time, ever.Bit like the prompts when you open the file and you click on don't show me again but it keeps on showing again and again.

Receiving a notification after sending each individual invoice is a ridiculous WASTE OF TIME for users. Especially when you can email 30-100+ invoices in a day.
We can see the email was successful by checking Outlook SENT folder. We know this. It is obvious.
If developers are bored perhaps they should fix bugs in the s/w rather than waste time introducing more and more useless notifications.

Come on MYOB - do better, this has to be the most annoying feature to be implemented.....WHY??? wasn't needed
