one payroll item for 2 x Terminated Employees not in STP ATO total

Hi,

I noticed, unused Annual Leave is not picked up by ATO for 2 x terminated employee.

However same payroll item was picked up by ATO for other employees.

I have tried remove their termination date, run $0.00 pay a couple of time.

However still not working.

Would you be able to help? Thank you

  • Good morning

Pay in Lieu of Notice is not a Lump Sum A

recommend to create a new payitem In lieu of Notice - flag to etp tax  component

create zero payrun moing from lump sum to new in lieu of notice

you may need to check how you have taxed the lump sum A

If you are struggling recommend to seek out a BAs/Tax  agent to help

    Kind regards Chris

  • Hi

Could you advise are both of the terminations not redundancy?

If not redundancy, then unused leave should be part of gross payments.

If redundancy, then unused leave is allocatedin Lump Sum A

Recommend to check what ATO category is assigned to the unused leave payitem

    Thanks Chris

      Hi Chris,

the payroll Item's name is Unused Time in lieu/ RDO.

i have set up as ETP- Taxable component.

another 2 employees (c,d)have pays under same category as well, their unused time in lieu are included in ATO's report

but for employee a & b, Their total is not included in ATO YTD verification report.

i have tried run $0.00 pay to push the information to ATO a couple of times, but it is not working.

Would you be able to advise What else i need to check and do ?

        Hi

Just confirming the 2 employees a&b shows as ETP taxable component

but the unused time in lieu (also an ETP) are not showing for the same employees?

        Thanks Chris
