Hi Lisa_H,
To run the profit and loss report, it depends on the financial year you are currently in. Reports under the Accounts tab can only be run for the previous, current, and next financial years. For example, if you are in the financial year 2023, you can run reports for 2022, 2023, and 2024. If you are in an older financial year, you may need to close the financial year to move to the next one. You can find more information on how to close the financial year here.
Let us know if you need any further help.
Thanks,

Hi Genreve
As I have said above, what I am wanting to do is run a P&L for the period 1 July 2023 - 31 August 2024 but I can't. I have to do a P&L from 1 July 2023- 30 June 2024 then I have to do a second report from 1 July 2024-31 August 2024 and then add the net profit/loss to get the total for that period.
It's just really messy when you have to present the figures at a meeting and need to show two reports.
I was wanting just to be able to do one report for that entire period, but I don't think it can be done in MYOB.

Hi Lisa_H , would you consider making a backup then restoring offline, then start a new financial year but change the ending month to August. Then you may be able to produce the report you need?
This would need to be repeated each month.
