Forms: Remittance Advice - List credits line by line

I contacted the help desk with this exact problem.  The only solution they were able to offer was to customise the remittance form to include a line for credits.  It would have the credit amount but it will not list the credit number.  I have yet to try it.  This is the link offered to do this:
