In Version 19 and before the "Select from List" used a "tick"column, and it was quick to select all, to deselect all, and to select or deselect by running the cursor up/down the parts of the column required. Examples: (1) To select just the super accruals for all employees in one fund "Superannuation Accrual by Fund Detail" just deselect all, then run cursor from the first to last of the required lines (2) To select the GL accounts for fixed assets and depreciation in "GL Detail Report" just deselect all, run cursor over the lines in the assets section then over the depreciation expense accounts.
And NOW? Selection is by ticking individual boxes, one for each line! Slow enough to be almost useless, and doesn't even use the Windows standard of Shift and Click to select a contiguous group of items.. I spent a couple of hours at MYOB at The Glen about 2 years ago to look at bits of these "new" products and the v19 selection method - with a slide of the cursor - was pointed out by me as a major feature which needed to be retained. Was my visit a waste of time, just a patronising gesture?
