Need to make all reports exportable to excel

Cant export GST reports to excel
Balance sheet exports account numbers and account description into separate columns yet P&L is concatenated - WHY?
All this makes it time consuming to prepare working papers

It would be very helpful if we could get the same type of reports as AccountRight and be able export them in excel or tab-delimited format. The only reason I am not recommending this product to my clients is because I cannot get the reports I require.
I am finding this increasing difficult too. I would like to export 3 or 6 months of P&L's but have to manually enter from reports. Time consuming.
E.g. Receivables & payables with tax would be great to assist with reconciling GST

I'm new to Essentials, coming from Account Right.
In Account Right I could look at all my invoices or purchases based on specific search criteria and then click the "Print" button to get it as a report and from there export to Microsoft Excel.
Any chance this will become availalbe in Essentials at any point?
PDF format is really for articles and stories, not for numbers, there is no way to manipulate/sort/highlight or formulate data in PDF and excel is just the natural format to use when you work with numeric data.
Would love to hear what are development view on this

I find it incredible that you have reports in PDF format rather than excel. Its data that we have entered. Clearly the fields which we need are in the PDF report. Is it just laziness that they are not available in excel. One report which is essential for me is Sales by Customer report which I need to convert to a csv file. Its very easy to do from excel but difficult from PDF. The sales by customer report is excellent, and the fields are great, why have this only available in excel. Xero has a similar report, all their reports are available in excel!! This need to be solved. I am willing to pay extra for this option.

Previously from memory - Live Accounts allowed export of to excel for the trial balance.
1) Could we get this feature reinstated for the trial balance for Essentials? Similar to that it would be great if we could get the GL to be exported in excel format as well. This is a heavily used feature for accountants and if all reports could eventually export to excel - we will love the product even more!
In addition to the above, if you could introduce report customisation of:
2) Being able to remove $ symbols and format ZEROs as dashes or just leave it as blank.
3) All Reports to be able to filter out accounts with zero balances so that the reports will be shorter (removes lines with nil balances).
Suggestion 2) and 3) will ensure that we don't go crazy from looking through the reports that come out of MYOB Essentials. Suggestion 1) will make the data much more usable for us in excel.

Also add Suppliers bills reports - All payables reports to be exported to excel
We have recently moved our BankLink clients onto the cloud version, one thing that is making the online version really annoying is excel conversion. It would be really helpful if we could export the various reports to excel as we used to be able to do, it is too difficult to customise pdf reports for each clients needs....please bring this feature back!!
PLEASE developers allow us to export the trial balance to an excel worksheet - i find myself discouraging clients from signing up to this product purly based on that fact that i will have to retype the trial balance at the end of every FY. We can export almost every other report to excel why not the trial balance!
When preparing a profit and loss report, and changing the report to be on a cash basis, the report then changes to show ALL unused accounts. There does not appear to be an option to remove these unused accounts from the report, and when I change back to accrual the report removes these extra accounts with no activity automatically. Please add an option to "hide unused accounts" so my 1 page P&L does not become 3 pages long!
GL Summary report! - Accountants everywhere use this! Can we also have the option to export to excel
Some reports don't have the option to export to excel, and open in PDF only (eg GST report for activity statement), can we also please get the GST summary report back?
