Changing a Casual Employee to a Permanent one

One of our employees was a casual but is now permanent. Although I changed him in the Employee status from casual to permanent, on his latest pay slip it is paying him 8% on top of his normal hourly rate. How do I stop that automatically coming up?

    Hi lbrockliss,

You can check the standard pay of the affected employee to see if an extra amount has been entered on their hourly rate, which might be triggering the 8% on top of the normal hourly rate. This can be done by reviewing the Pay Details section in the employee's record, specifically under the Standard Pay tab. You can remove or correct amounts on the hourly rate field to make it's correct.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

I have checked what you suggested but there isn't an extra amount entered. Have you got any other suggestions?

        Hi lbrockliss,

We appreciate you giving it a try for the solution provided by Doreen_P. Another thing to verify is the standard pay in the employee card file. Please check and update the figures for the standard pay. If the issue persists, you can contact our support team for further assistance. The best ways to reach our support team are through live chat (via our virtual assistant MOCA) or by raising a support ticket through myaccount.myob.com.
