Timesheets unable to approve MYOB TEAM

Hi All

used TEAM for 2 pay runs and now unable to approve timesheets in the app on my laptop.

followed instructions as per https://community.myob.com/t5/MYOB-Team-app/MYOB-Team-app-unable-to-approve-timesheets/m-p/780813#M982

but still unable to approve.

Have also cleared the cache. reset the location, invited some employees again and still getting the same error.

Any help greatly appreciated

  • Hi, Daph

    Thanks for the update.

If the option is not available to untick or tick an employee from the Base Hourly, it is normal especially when you used Base Hourly from previous pay runs.

Since the resolution provided above did not work for you, kindly check the following:

    • Make sure that you are listed as an Approving Manager to the Location
    • Check your user access. To do this, go to Setup > User Access > Select the approving manager's user login
    • Company Information has missing information or incorrect information. To check this, go to Setup > Company Information > Check that the email address in Company Information is the same email address that originally set up MYOB Team. If the email in Company Information is not the same email used to set up MYOB Team, the Admin will need to update the email to that email, or delete the MYOB Team locations, and log in with the email in the Company
    • Timesheets are not enabled. Go to Setup > Preferences > Select System tab and ensure that the "I use Timesheets for Payroll (or Payroll and Timebilling)" option is ticked.

Please let us know how it goes. We are eager to hear back from you.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

    Hi, Daph

    Thanks for your post.

We're sorry for the delay in response.

To correct the situation, please refer to the steps provided below:

    1. Log out of MYOB Team
    2. Go to the Payroll tab, and choose the Payroll Categories button
    3. Find the Base Hourly category and ensure that it is exactly named Base Hourly. It is case-sensitive, and cannot be anything else, e.g. base hourly or Base Hourly Wages
    4. In the Base Hourly Category, click Employee, and ensure the relevant employee is marked with a tick.
    5. Click OK.
    6. The Approving Manager should now be able to approve timesheets successfully.

Also, kindly make sure that you are listed as an Approving Manager on the location.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance with this. We are happy to assist.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

      Hi Doreen P

Thanks for replying.  I have gone into Base hourly, all employees ar ticked, however everyone is greyed and therefor there is no option to untick or tick.  Is this normal??

By the way it didn't work.  Went back into Team and got the same error message.

      thanks
