Hi.
I have attached a screenshot of the superannuation guarantee setup.
Thanks
That all looks okay
the only suggestion I have is if there was a payroll for the previous week and it has rolled that on as well
so if you add the two pays together whether that accounts for the total super in the second pay?
that's the only thing I can think of

Yes! You are right.
Why would MYOB be doing that?
Is there anyway to stop it?
Also, their advice when processing a junior (fortnightly) [if only to pay one week of entitled super] is to enter in the hours for one week in to get the super amount & write down that amount, then enter the full fortnight's hours and change the super amount manually. This will not work when MYOB is calculating hours from previous pay periods.
Hope you can help!

Yes
this is a problem indeed
perhaps a moderator could offer a solution
my only suggestion is - and you obviously know what you are doing is to manually change the super as has been suggested , you are checking it anyway. It should only be for the junior at this stage
Tracey_H has been a fabulous help in the past and she may be able to assist with this problem

Hi PetCity
Thanks for assisting with this post (and the nice words) Lisa LRBooks61
Super calculates on a monthly basis so that the minimum super amount is accrued for the whole month. So when super is calculated the software takes the gross OTE's for the month, multiplies that by the super rate then deducts super already accrued for the month to give the accrual for that pay period. This means that any adjustments will affect subsequent calculations.
For example:
Week 1 - Gross $1000, Month Gross $1000, super $105
Week 2 - Gross $1000, Month Gross $2000, super $105 plus super adjustment of +$50
Week 3 - Gross $1000, Month Gross $3000, super $55 ($3000 x 10.5% - $260)
Week 4 - Gross $1000, Month Gross $4000, super $105
Total Gross for the month is $4000, total super accrued is $420
A quick way to check if super is calculating correctly is do a dummy pay run in a new month, because it's a new month there won't be any previous pays or adjustments affecting the calculation.
AccountRight 2022.6 automatically calculates super for under 18s paid weekly. Fortnightly and monthly pay cycles will need to follow the instructions in the Help article provided by Lisa to manually calculate and record the super amount.
