I am also having the same issue, i have staff waiting to be paid today
but do not want to risk lodging the pay and having it rejected !!
I too have had these errors. Obviusly to do with RESC and Salary Sacrifice as l work for NFP sector.
So frustrating after spending hours over the phone talking to MYOB staff in NZ, Africa etc who were helpful but didnt solve the problem. Tried ringing again to be told there is a 3-4 hour wait. I know its a busy time of year, but surely these problems should be a high priority & fixed ASAP. I have waited 10 days to run the 8/7 payroll but still have the errors. Please advise when this error is going to be fixed? I am unsure how to acess file via the alternate means.

Our developers are investigating this error. In the meantime, reversing the salary sacrifice payrun and reprocessing in the AccountRight browser is resolving this error.

I do not like using the browser version and pay $160 per month to use the desktoop version, i would appreciate MYOB solving the problem ASAP

I do not like how MYOB are surreptitiously forcing us to go to the Web Browser. They have just started doing this with the Payroll Reporting Centre. So are you saying that the pay run on the desktop should be deleted and then started again on the Browser version? I thought everything was in both.

I have had this same error this morning.
Have not tried it in the browser, just took out the salary sacrifice amount and the ATO accepted.
I find it strange though as we have two other employees who salary sacrifice also, and there was no error for them.
Will we be notified when this issue is fixed?

Hi Bombergirl
I actually processed all my pays normally, except the salary sacrifice employee.
I processed his through the web browser and it was accepted. It places it in a deduction category. Clearly, this feature needs to be added to the Desktop version, and is a failing of MYOB to not fix this.

Info for your Detectives who are working on this - only 4/8 of my FBT exempt salary sacrifice employees got this error.
I sent the rest of the employees through desktop as per normal and the 4 that errored via web browser which worked to send to ATO but wouldn't email payslips.
I also don't like the web browser version. I feel it is an inferior product for the end user, just ugly and doesn't have all the same information and basic features in payroll like being able to enter leave dates.
Hope this is helpful information.

Do i need to redo the whole pay run or can i just save it in the desktop version and run it on browser? Because I've tried to just save it and run online and it still fails! I have 120 employees that I can't redo their data and start from scratch - how do we fix this error without having to redo the payroll run information?

Had same problem today, was on hold for nearly an hour had to hang up with no help.
Two or my employees salary sacrifice and this is the same error I got, could not submit.
I find it ridiculous that I could not get help from MYOB that I had to search for assistance online.
It appears that MYOB has a temporary work around, which is at least something. Hopefully we don't have to wait to long for this to be sorted.
I must say that I am finding this change over to STP 2 very uncertain, lots of information which becomes confusing, not very clear as to which categories to select all very up in the air with no real direction on what is right.

Hi everyone,
I'm the original poster and I am just now reading all the replies. I only work for this organisation a couple days a week so have only just now seen the repsonses.
I gave up waiting for a reply on the day and just pushed through the STP I've just loged on to the payroll reporting today and it has accepted it.
I do agree with posters above, I don't like how we are being pushed to use the web version, even for the reporting centre and finalisation. We pay a lot of money to use the desktop we should have full functionality.

I have the same error today, had to redo all the pays in the browser and MYOB sent the report through ATO twice for the same payrun, now everything is double up.
MYOB generated 2 payslips for each employee, but the YTD did not change on the second payslip, however the YTD on STP report was doubled up. Going through all reports again to make sure everything is correct.
This is an unneccessary extra task to be doing during the busiest time of year.
Not a good start to new financial year. Not looking forward to more problems. Please fix soon

My payrun doubled up too! So frustrating and monumental waste of time having to reverse inidividual pays. I'm a day behind in Year End tasks because of this occupying my whole day. Definitely not happy.

I had the same issue with my 1 staff member who Salary sacrifies a small part of their wage. I wasn't sure what was going on but I sent it all to the ATO as I couldn't see any issues. I just noticed my report was accepted...who knows????

Hi everyone
This error is caused by a change in the ATO integrations and is being worked on as a high priority. Processing salary sacrifice pays in the browser was one workaround that resolved the issue for some users. We have since been advised that not sending reports at the time of processing the payrun, then going to the Payroll reporting centre and sending the Not sent reports will allow users to successfully send those payruns. This can be done from the desktop if preferred.
We will update the previously linked post when more information is available.

I have same error, but only for two employees reclassified as Closely Held Employees in new pay run.
Other employees salary sacrifice but no issue with these
I though I must have classified incorrectly, but now migh just push pays through and see see what happens
Hi
We had the same issue and sent it through and it was accepted. We did a little searching on the ATO and found this information which may help to explain the error - In your STP report, salary sacrifice components appear as positive amounts regardless of the salary packaging method you use. It's important to understand how your product manages salary sacrifice because some products may require you to enter negative amounts into your payroll so that calculations can be completed correctly. It is also mentioned in the ATO Webinar https://tv.ato.gov.au/ato-tv/media?v=bi9or7odm11xjw at about 1:05 min in.
MYOB could put a tick box (like they do for reduction of annual leave etc) that could automatically reduce gross wages. This would make the deduction a positive.

when will this be fixed? I waited on the phone for three hours last Thursday to sort this out and it was still not resolved. I don't think the person I was talking to at MYOB even knew that there were so many with this problem
