Also having trouble with STP YTD reports.
Payroll Register and Payroll Activity balance.
YTD balance is incorrect.
Traced it to 2 employee payrun earlier in the year on seperate occassions, however nothing wrong with those pay runs - all reported to ATO correctly.
Have run $0 payrun.
All reports sent and approved by ATO during the year.
All reporting categories correct.
What else can I do?

We all pay good money for there products but the customer service is appauling.
I'm still waiting on a reply from MYOB.
Have been on hold 2.5 hours and no answer.
Tried running $0 payrun and that has made everything worse.

Yes so did I (run the $0 payroll )and now the employees that were showing up before are no longer showing now.. only 3 employeess that were added since STP2 are showing.. so annoying - sorry you have been on hold so long!
Hi Did you get an answer to have this fixed? I am having the same problem. Anyone that was employed and run through STP 1 is not showing up in my finalisation. So STP 2 did not bring thier pays over! frustrating! Now all employees over 6mths employed have a zero balance in the thier report.
I do not know how to fix this
We had a problem with ours as well and this morning I finally managed to sort it out. My issue was with terminated employees so I removed all their termination dates and ran a Zero pay which I lodged with the ATO. BUT before I lodged I had to go in and add their income type on the Tax tab of their Card file.
Now the issue has resolved - thank goodness as MYOB seemed to be doing nothing to assist.
I'm not sure if I needed to do the zero pay for the terminated people but I no longer had the option to lodge an update event on last year (ie 21/22)
I would recommend that you check all the employees have the income type.

Hi. Thank you for your post. I have done a $0 payrun with previous employees active. Do I need to run another $0 once I have set everyone as inactive and inserted their termination date at 30/06/22?? Thanks.
I am having the same problem. Payroll activity and payroll register report match but my STP and gross wages dont match. have checked all payroll catergories and none of them are wrong. I have some employees amount that are different by 60k

I have worked out what causes the ATO error code: CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03 which causes the YTD verification report to show no amount for Gross YTD ($) is due to the Card ID in each employees card. Ensure that this is only numbers or *None in the Card ID field. If you have characters in this field (example the employees name) it wont submit to the ATO and these errors will occur. Go to Card List, Employee tab, Card ID list should show as numbers or *None. If not, you will need to edit each employee and change.
Once you have the Card ID field with only numbers or *None, then you have to run a $0 payroll as at 30/06/2022 ensuring everything is nil including leave entitlements. Once you run this $0 payroll, then resubmit your EOFY verification report. You will note the Gross YTD ($) will now have amounts.

That may be a cause but it's not the underlying cause - there's a bug they need to fix so I wouldn't change your setup. ALL of my employees have letters as their code and the error is only appearing on a small portion of them - say 6 out of 70.
I have the same problem. I have found a pay processed earlier in the year doubled up the employees pays when recorded. I reversed one set of pays, this made the payroll report correct , but STP YTD and payroll history shows no figures were processed at all for that pay. ???
I have also had to process first payroll for this financial year, therefore I cannot access history now to fix 🙉🙉
We are also having major problems with YTD finalisation for 4 terminated employees. I have tried everything I can think of including unterminating them in ATO STP reporting and reactivating them in the system (not unterminating them in MYOB just reactivating their cargs. I have checked all payroll categories and their classifications are correct and STP is accepting the $0 update , but these employees are all showing as $0 gtross pay which is incorrect. 3 were pre STP2 and 1 was post STP 2 all other employeees, terminated or otherwise are fine.
Please help as this is getting urgent and we need to roll the Payroll year
I'm having the same problem with the ATO Verification Report. It is out by the gross salary of 1 terminated employee.
I've hit the "undo" for termination on the ATO reporting side as well as the MYOB side, and then run the report again, but it made no difference.
The MYOB moderator's advice is to finalise the terminated employee, even if the verification report is incorrect. I'm not keen to do this...
MYOB needs to get onto this, as the 14th is looming!

To give a quick rundown of how STP works:
Payruns processed appear in the Payroll reporting centre>>Reports tab and send the YTD amounts to the ATO. Each report overrides the previous one, this means that the ATO take the YTD amounts from the most recent report.
The YTD verification report and Summary of payments reports (both in EOFY finalisation tab) pull the YTD amounts from the employee card>>Pay History and filter by the ATO reporting categories.
The Payroll actvity report gets it's data from pays processed in Process Payroll.
The Payroll register report gets it's data from the employee card>>Pay History.
If the Payroll reports and YTD verification report don't match run the Payroll activity and Payroll register reports. This post, AccountRight reports don't match STP reports, has detailed information.
If the Payroll activity and register reports are the same and you've moved to STP Phase 2, process a $0 pay with payment date as 30 June. Wait until that report is accepted before you recheck the YTD verification report, it can take time to update the figures.
Terminated employees will need their termination dates removed and their cards made active before processing the $0 pay.

I understand the changes made in the payroll history will effect the payroll register/activity reports but how do you change the entry now we have rolled over the a new year please?

I have had a similiar issue and I have run $0 pays as at 30.6.22, I added in terminated employees also and my STP Report and Payroll Summary still do not match.
I did an in depth look at a Payroll register [Detail] report of each employee and saw that payroll categories that I had changed for STP P2 were not being picked up in the YTD "Total salary and wages as per payroll summary report".
I then changed the affected ATO reporting categories all to Gross Payments and I can see now that each employee's total is correct on the EOFY YTD Verification Report, however, the overall total does not add up to the Gross Payments YTD figure at the top right hand side of the EOFY finalisation page - the amount it is out by is the total Allowance - Award Transport Payments that is still allocated to the STP P2 category.
MYOB helpline is basically uncontactable, I was on hold for 2.5 hours and my call got cut off without a resolution, called again, on holding again for another 2.5 hours before without getting through.
Happy to hear any other suggestions?

I have the same issue, but have narrowed the difference in total on the top right and the report down to one employee... MYOB couldn't tell me WHY, but said that if the individual amount was correct, then to finalise..
I haven't however finalised the one terminated employee who's ETP is not showing at all, even in their individual report!!
I had the same issues with the categories not appearing in the gross total, but if you open their report (Three dots next to their name) they will be listed and I was told by MYOB that it was correct tohave them NOT in gross payments (This was annual & Personal Leave for me).
I really do think they should include this in the listed total for each employee, as thankfully I have 66 casuals and only 8 FT/PT so I only had to manually add up 8 totals... Imagine haveing 100's of employees!!!! WHat a nightmare!!
Having similar issues - STP YTD totals different from Payroll Reports.
Both payroll reports (Activity Summary & Register Summary) matched
Pays submitted to ATO all accepted except two rejected .
Reviewed payroll categories and were all correct
I noticed one employee's gross wages different (one pay was not recorded (missing amount-variance),
But when I checked previous STP reporting to ATO, both pay had a status accepted).
Yesterday, I switched to STP 2 and run the Payroll Reporting YTD verification report, the breakdown totals are out of whacked (allowances, salary sacrifices & unused leave). Now, got more problems
It's frustrating waited two hours then someone answer then they say transfer you to another person then put you back on hold (more waiting time) & then they lost your call.

The YTD verification report and Summary of payments reports filter the YTD amounts according to the ATO reporting categories. This means that amounts that were previously included in Gross payments are now reported separately under their Phase 2 reporting category: What's different in STP Phase 2 reporting.
The YTD verification report and Summary of payments reports get the YTD amounts from the employee card>>Pay History which means that there can be a difference between the pay run reports and the STP EOFY reports, depending on what has been changed since the pay was recorded. For example, a pay may have been recorded and declared so the report appears in the Payroll reporting centre>>Reports tab. The pay is then reversed so the YTD amounts change but the pay run report will still appear in the Reports tab.

I had a similar problem with terminated employees for which I did a $0 pay run and got updated.
However, one employee in particular, he was on a full time salary basis during July and August, he resigned and was terminated. He came back to work for us in February on a casual hourly basis. When I run the reports the Salary wages that he received in July and August only show in the Payroll Activity Summary. I have changed his card back to salary and I did a $0 pay run but still his salary payments are not showing in the YTD, Payroll Register Summary report or the reconciliation (superannuation and tax from those pays show fine). I also did a 1 cent pay run and still nothing.
I have also been on hold with MYOB since Friday and after around 2 hours wait on the line it hungs on me.
terminated employees make sure the tax screen salary and wages is selected.
