It would be great to be able to email receipts to customers when you receive their payment, at the moment you can only print and I find this waists time and paper. (The email remittance feature works great so why not have an email receipts option too.)

I can't believe that a simple function like emailing a receipt is not straightforward in V2019! There was discussion in 2013!!!! that it was to be included. Seriously? A load of other crazy "update" stuff that I have no use for but 6 years on and this still has to be a "work around". Ridiculous. :(
Yes, I e-mail receipts to our customer's book-keepers. I have to save the receipt to a PDF and then e-mail it or print and scan it and then e-mail.
We can e-mail remittance advices etc, why not receipts????

Agree 100%. Other software has it and MYOB laggs behind.
I Agree!! painful printing, scanning and then emailing . Can send invoices and statements!! Why not receipts.
It seems inconceivable to me that after all these years we still can't email receipts after having received a payment.
Enough said.
After applying a payment to an invoice I resend it. The customer has a permanet record of the paid invoice.

It's been 7 years!
Currently there are two options. The first is to print receipts, scan and email them - which is a waste of paper and time consuming if you have hundreds of payments. Or you can email customers an activity statement. I am finding that this is just confusing people as the statement shows every transaction and not just the invoices to which the payment applies.
MYOB why is this still an issue? The systems provides an email option for Receipts but no actual process.
Is there one and I am missing it? or not.

Just a suggestion, could the option be added in a later update to email receipts as well as print. I know this has come up before but has never been implemented. It would save having to print the receipt to PDF and then emailing (takes a long time when you have many to do). It just needs to operate the same way the Print/Email Invoices or Statements system works.

I noticed that there are a number of different suggestions regarding emailing receipts and myob support suggest voting. I hope that all these individual suggestions/votes are complied together as this is one area that is desperately lacking. This has been going on for years, come on myob upgrade and include email receipts. Also to be able to email a particular customers receipts by date range would be sooooo helpful, especially for clients that would like to claim a benefits at the end of financial year. Statements and paid invoices are not official receipts.
Thanks Ben for raising this again. I have just been speaking with online support, and the current receipt emailing is very cumbersome if you are doing many. It would be great to have the same system of automatically generating the email whan a payment is processed as when an invoice is generated. Hope to see this improvement SOON!!!!

Please Please Please can we have a function to email receipts from MYOB to our clients? So much time is wasted saving receipts to PDF then attaching to an email and these days customers are requiring receipts more regularly. I feel this is a very important funtion that is required.
Why cant we email receipts.? We can email everything else.

I've been using MYOB since 1996, you would think this could now be a feature.
Remittances can be directly emailed, what is the problem incorporating Customer Receipts into the direct email, it would save so much time.
Emailing receipts would be bringing MYOB closer towards modernisation! Printing is obsolete now.
I am not sure why they can't change this. It's so frustrating. I used to be able to email receipts direct from MYOB but then when they changed the system they took this function away. No-one from MYOB has been able to tell me why they can't bring this back as an option, MYOB really need to pick up their act.

Can we please have the ability to print or email sales receipts similar to statements? I realise I can save them as PDF and then email however this is still time consuiming and the functionality to print or email is available for other document why not receipts????

If one was to look through the history of the "Email Receipt" thread, one soon realizes that MYOB is in no way concerend with the end user. (I posted my request years ago) They are fast becoming the Blockbuster of the accounting solution sphere. It's blatantly obvious that MYOB doesn't use their own software to account for the subscription dollars they rake in every month.
The Email Receipt function would have to be almost a necessary requirement for any accounting solution. That said, most accounting solutions provide a means of emailing a receipt! Onya MYOB, you stick to your guns and ignore a years long request.

I continually get asked why my software does not email receipts. Please add this feature.
We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation which thankfully receives many one-off donations from benevolent members of the public.
These wonderful people should be issued with a tax deductible receipt promptly.
MYOB's lack of support for this requirement is very dissappointing.
I would love to be able to email receipts, instead of printing them and positng them. Hope I can also add a signature to the receipt.
You can email a receipt - it would be heaps easier to have the function in MYOB but in the meantime install a free programme called Cute PDF. It shows up as a printer. So when you go to print select this printer, it prompts you to save the PDF somewhere on your computer then you can simply email that PDF receipt to your customer.
