This is NOT "Done". The feature request was to add the Reccuring invoices funtionality to the existing MYOB Essentials platform - not a new one. The new one doesn't have a Payroll function by default and at very different price points.

Wow, at last.
Having mentioned this in March 2018, you have now managed to decide it would be useful, and actually say you have got it working.
I have been gone for two years, using Xero that had support for this and stock control back then at very compedative pricing.
I have found Xero to be more functional and more intuitive in many ways. No way I would switch back now.

I'm pleased to announce that recurring transactions are a feature that is available in the newer MYOB Essentials platform. You can find more information about this function in Help Article: Recurring transactions. Come on myob - surely it's time!

We should be able to set up an invoice that is automatically recurring on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly/yearly basis. MYOB Essentials lacks this features and this makes it significantly less useful than all of its competitors. As a MYOB Partner I've stopped recommending MYOB to many clients because of this missing feature, as it's such an integral and core need for many service businesses. Duplicating invoices has been offered as a stop gap solution but this was decades ago and there is still zero progress in seeing this essential core feature of a decent invoicing system brought in. MYOB has indicated many times over the years that this feature is a "top priority" yet it remains noticeably absent....

The "current status" that hasn't been updated since 2018 indicates this is one of the "top candidates" for product enhancements. Difficult to believe it is a top candicate with this was back in July 2018. It's now November 2021 and this feature is sorely lacking and makes MYOB Essentials drag well behind all the other invoicing software systems. When I purchased MYOB Essentials 2 years ago I was assured this feature was available. hmmm.
This is not just an "enhancement" or added value. This is a core component of any decent invoicing software and MYOB Essentials is sorely lagging behind. Many of my clients are regular clients whom I should just be able to set up a recurring invoice and let the system do all the work for me each week/fortnight/month. Instead I have to go in and duplicate it each time, which is really annoying. When I consider that all the other invoicing options have recurring invoices as an actual feature (not just a feature the sales person assures me is there but it isn't actually there in reality) I am very tempted to change over for that convenience. When are we going to be able to created remittance advices for suppliers payments?. It's hard to believe this isn't already a function, it's an every day transaction in the accounts world. Come on MYOB pls get this sorted
Yeah this is quite poor - 2 years on and still no recurring invoices.
Makes the product unfit for purpose if you're in the MSP or Service game with recurring monthly charges to your customers.
I would really like some recurring transactions as it would save a lot of data entry. Could someone please look into this, particularly for bill payments
