In Business Pro the different leave categories print in a different order for some employees. Very easy to make errors when using the data. Hello In the new MYOB you cannot print multipule invoices, this is very frustrating. When using the old platform you could select the invoices and then hit print. Now you have to select an invoice and down load that invoice and then print the pdf, this is a very long process and needs to be rectified. Its added so much time to my day and also now i have hundreds of downloaded pdf's of invoices I dont need. I have over 100 spend money transactions to input - so that I can put the invoice number on the transaction. Could I please - for the love of God, return to spend money page after I've saved a spend money transaction? It keeps going to the find transaction page instead - forcing me to go to banking, press spend money, then start again having to choose the account number. Currently the Profit & Loss, and potentially other reports that require Accounts, always include InActive Accounts, but have the ability to exclude any Accounts with a Zero Balance. If you change the report option to Not include Accounts with Zero Balance, then you can exclude InActive accounts, but it also excludes All Active accounts with a Zero Balance. The requirement is that I need is to only exclude InActive Accounts but still include Accounts with a Zero Balance, so another Report Option to Exclude InActive Accounts. Dear MYOB, In the attached screen shot, you will notice the warning message at the top of the screen indicating that the current financial year for my ledger is 2023. Even if I dismiss the message to free up some screen real estate, it keeps coming back every time I refresh the report. I am currently finalising the accounts for their 2023 tax return and to be still working on 2023 accounts this long after the end of the financial year not very unusual. If a non-accounting user was to see this, think it is an error and roll over the file it could be a pain for other users. Can we please have this message removed when it has been dismissed? At least for your current session? This seems to me to be another example of the lack of understanding by the designers about what we are trying to use the software for and what the impact these popup messages on the top of the screen have on our work flow. I have a 63.4 cm monitor; you would think I could see all the information. This problem has been going on for years, and plenty of people have asked for this to be fixed. We put in a request for upgrades again and again and nothing happens. Do MYOB really have people working on fixing the many problems with the software, or do we get the standard message of it being put on the list, that no one looks at? The online MYOB has become so time-consuming to operate. MYOB put subscriptions up without improving the everyday task to make the system easier to use. I have been using MYOB since 1992, it is very disappointing that the software is going backwards. Having it in hours is not helpful to an external accountant, as the report essentially doesn't give them any information. Hi there, I recently experienced an issue where my payroll was entered correctly, but the payroll officer made erroneous take home bank transfers to the staff. As soon as she realised her mistake, she made a second transaction to those staff members that were underpaid to ensure that they received the correct take home amount. So, everything is correct - it's just that some staff were paid for one pay week in two transactions. Unfortunately, the MYOB live Accounts does not allow you to allocate multiple bank transfers to the one payroll transaction. I thought there must be a way, so I went onto online support to see if they could help. As it turns out there is no way and the recommendation was to redo 2 payrolls to precisely match the two net amounts remitted. I believe that this is a very poor solution. The integrity of the payroll records should be maintained. The payroll record is absolutely correct. It records the hours worked, gross, tax, super and take home pay. It's just that the take home pay was paid in 2 transactions. I should not have to fabricate 2 payroll runs to match the two bank transfers. I strongly believe that the accounting software should allow the allocation of multiple bank transfers to the one payroll transaction. The software already allows for employees to receive pay "split" into seperate amounts within the Employee Pay setup section - but this is not the same scenario. Additionally, some staff were overpaid. In order to adjust for this, the payroll officer paid a lesser amount (by the amount of the overpayment from the previous week) in the following weeks pay to those overpaid staff members. In this event, we have 2 payroll runs and two payments. The individual transactions for the two weeks do not match, but they do reconcile precisely to the right payment having been remitted. I think basically what needs to be able to happen is that any payment should be able to be allocated to any outstanding payroll transactions (or part there of). Hi we have just had the 1st of 4 files migrated to the new version of Essentials. We have been eagerly awaiting all the new featuresthat would make life easier but we are disappointed to see some of the good points about the old version have gone. The notes section of the employee file has a reduced character limit so much so that the notes on one employee file that were imported from the old version have had to be cut & pasted to a word document as they were too large for the field & tech support are unable to tell me how charaters can go in the field The payslip (& whole payroll process) was much simpler in the old version. We would like to be able to edit the payslip template or if you could just make it look like the old version including logo that would be fantastic We would like to be able to add our logo to the remittance advice as well If we can edit the invoice template why cant we edit the payslip & remittance templates? We as MYOB partners process payroll for our clients, and some of our clients are used to getting payslip copies for each employee for every payrun. This option was available in the old essentials version, but after the new essentials version came out, the multiple emailing of payslips option has been removed. Currently only employees are getting the payslips. Please could this option be reinstated, as this helps clients in perusing the payslips without having to log into the MYOB dashboard. Further when the payslips are in their inbox, they can refer to all payslips for a particular employee if they need to consider it. Currently I have to allocate an account, tax type and zero $value to a text only line. For example I wish to give details of the job completed and then in subsequent lines record the hours worked and materials used. My business transitioned to the new MYOB Essentials a few days ago (January 2023) and I have run my first pay run, it has been quite the journey! This idea would significantly increase efficiency and save me much needed time as this now takes a lot longer to do! When doing a pay run, every time I edit a wage pay item (e.g. entering the number of weekday, weekend hours they work) it recalculates and causes me to wait several seconds before I can enter the next value. I have 4 wage pay items for each employee (week day, Saturday, Sunday, public holiday), multiply this by 50 employees and this means a LOT of extra wasted time. Dear MYOB, Here is a great idea, fix MYOB "NEW ESSENTIALS" to how OLD essentials was The process of printing an invoice to PDF now has 2 extra steps where before was One button press "print" The bank transactions now when allocating to an invoice no longer record in the invoice the bank feed description to reference quickly but reference "CPXXXXXX" making it harder to cross check things. This is a departure from the previous MYOB Essentials AUTO consecutive number for Invoices & Quotes has disappeared. MYOB randomises the number and makes both quotes & invoices the same numbering system. It is bizarre Quotes or Invoices can no longer have the customer name changed once saved The Description field in Quotes/Invoices is far too narrow. Having migrated to BusinessLite from AccountRight, we are now unable to use our previous sales invoice template or properly edit the BusinessLite sales invoice template to fit with our letterhead and company details. To be honest, it looks pretty bad. We’d prefer to revert to a scenario where we can edit out (where necessary) and re size boxes to suit our needs. Please MYOB, include an option to have gst included in the job reports (particularly job activity report). I am the treasurer of a NFP and to get the information I have to export the job activity report, make a note of the account headings, then export a general ledger selecting these accounts with the job name added. I then have to filter out all unrelated transactions in Excel and cross reference to make sure I have an accurate record. I need to add and edit the 'ship to' fields for customers when creating invoices without having to create a new customer each time. I have a customer card called 'Cash Sales' but then edit/add the customers details etc to the Ship To Field so that i don't have to create numerous customer cards for every customer that purchases from us. This allows me to record all the customers details per sale for future records. The majority of our sales are 95% one off purchases and only 5% require customer cards for 30 day trading accounts. I have been doing this on the desktop version of Accounting Right Plus and am I currently trialling the Web Browser version. A this stage this is the only thing stopping me from converting over to the Web Browser. So once again I feel that MYOB over complicates things and then doesnt believe it is ever at fault. Recently I recieved my monthly bill which was a lot higher than normal. Why? Because apparently Bpay isn't included in the Apply Surcharge field. Im not sure if my screen shot will show but it clearly aligns Bpay with all other online payments and then the box below says that you can apply a surcharge. When questioning MYOB I got the good old "it states it in the terms and conditions" I asked if it looked misleeding and they didnt have an answer. I asked to have Bpay removed from a service that is offered but apparently they can't do that either. In fact it appears that MYOB can't do a lot of things. This new "Downgrade" that they have applied to everyone I really cant see why they did it. Could we please have reports of Payables with Tax and Receivables with Tax as per AccountRight included in Essentials? I think that most Essentials customers report GST on a cash basis. One of the checks I perform before submitting a BAS is to check the balances of the GST Collected and GST Paid accounts against the amounts to be reported in the BAS. With non-cash reporting, the two should match so that's easy. With cash reporting the difference should be the GST on outstanding payables and receivables at the end of the quarter. Until the recent in tray "upgrade" I was able to drag and drop from MS outlook into banking transactions - things such as pdf receipts and invoices. This allowed for multiple documents to be dropped at the same time. However I am no longer able to do this despite that fact it was WAY WAY WAY quicker than uploading to intray and then trying to sort out which files need to be attached to which transaction. So 2 suggestions: 1. Re-enable drag and drop function into expanded bank transactions. 2. In teh meantime, allow multiple files to be selected from the in tray to be uploaded into a bank transcation. I would like to see a full Printable BAS report inside MYOB Essentials similar to BAS Link in AccountRight or the BAS report in BankLink. At the moment it appears this is the only product on the market where this is not possible to produce. Clients have to run a GST report and Seperately a PAYG Report then manually add on the their FTC or Instalments. A very clumsy process. This information prefills in the BAS lodgement area so this is possible but you are unable to print this out and it requires you to be registered for online lodgement of BAS. My preference is that this would be a report in the report section of MYOB Essentials and that it was possible to add in the instalements, FBT and Fuel tax credits manually. So many short cuts that i enjoyed in the old version are missing: The quick menus at the top of pages like invoices and payroll - where once you've viewed an invoice or employee you could click quickly back to the main list. Now you have to click back up into the main menu and find the list again. So annoying. And why doesn't the bank feed default to matching instead of allocate me? Is there a way to fix this? I now have three more clicks to get up my list of matches as it defaults to allocate me instead of match. And the list of possible suggestions is very unintuitive. It was much better before. Now I have to put the price in manually and then a list of matches come up but often it doesn't include the client details, so then I have to click into each invoice to check. So annoying. In the old version when I downloaded a PDF invoice it would default to the invoice number being the title of the PDF - now I have to manually enter it itn. Again annoying. The overdue invoice colour wheel was great - why did you get rid of it? Please bring it back. I am loving now being able to download reports to excel but WHY or WHY can you not let us customise the main part of the reports and not just the expandable info. I want to be able to include a set of information on one line in an excel report, not have a bunch of additional information underneath each other relating to the same invoice - that just makes it impossible to actually do anything with the data. For example I want my overdue invoice report to include the PO number but there is no way to generate this on the same line as the invoice number, client, due date etc., it wants me to put it in the expandable data which makes it really hard to then sor the data once exported. Also, I was really hoping that the double handling of online payments was going to be solved.
